Searching journal impact factors with Journal Citation Reports

What are journal impact factors?

Journal impact factors are used to determine leading journals within disciplines or sub-disciplines. Impact factors are produced by Thomson Reuters based on citation data analysis provided for the journals they index.

Where can I find journal impact factors?

Journal Citation Reports is an online tool that provides data for more than 7,500 journals published in the sciences and social sciences from 1997 onwards.

The Library subscribes to Journal Citation Reports produced by Thomson Reuters.

Just  log  in  as you normally do, using the Connect link on the Library’s  STAT!Ref page, and most mobile devices will be automatically redirected to the mobile URL and you can begin searching premier healthcare info right away.


Alexander Street Online Jazz Festival

To celebrate the launch of their Jazz Music Library, Alexander Street Press is holding an Online Jazz Festival from Tuesday 12th May to Thursday 14th May, 2009.  Note: this is an American site, so the festival will not kick off in Australia until around mid-afternoon or later on the 12th, and will continue into Friday 15th.

For the duration of the festival, they are providing free access to more than 18,000 jazz recordings in streaming audio.  There will also be free music downloads, interviews, videos and more.
