Responses to Feedback 26th March

It is really annoying that Adobe reader isn’t installed on some of the computers in the OIRC. Might be an idea to get it looked at.

I will ask a staff member from Ourimbah to ensure that this problem is rectified.
Thank you for your feedback.

Hi Renaye,
Just wanted to thank you for your prompt response to my question.

Cheers

UoN115519
The room booking system for group study rooms in the library is impossible to use.
Each room has to be individually looked at to find one that is available at the right time.
Even when the booking system shows them to be free I have frequently had the experience of the system refusing my booking saying it is not free.
I now don’t bother with booking them on line – I ring up the librarians and get them to do it for me – don’t know how much extra that costs in staff wages and hassle but it is the only way that works for me.

Thank you for your feedback. We are well aware of the issues with the unsatisfactory operation of the Room Booking system.
We have commenced a Project to investigate alternatives and hope this will lead to a full resolution of this matter later this year.
