Due to IT maintenance the following Library systems will be unavailable for intermittent periods occurring between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm on Saturday 25th May 2013

•  All staff Millennium modules
•  Requesting via BONUS+ etc

UoNline (including Blackboard) will be available during this maintenance period

In addition, an outage to Echo360 lecture recordings will occur between 8.00 am and 9.00 am (recordings scheduled during that period will be captured)

Database downtime – ARTstor – Tuesday 16th to Wednesday 17th April 2013

Please be advised that ARTstor will be performing an upgrade to the ARTstor Digital Library on Tuesday, April 16th from 8:00 PM to  Wednesday, April 17th at 3:00 AM.

During this time, users will be able to access the Digital Library but may experience some slowness. This upgrade will eliminate the need for Java in the ARTstor Digital Library and single image downloads will be delivered in Zip files.

New Trial from Readex – Afro-Americana Imprints, 1535-1922

UPDATE: Trial has now been extended to 5th April, 2013

The Library is currently trialling Afro-Americana Imprints, 1535-1922 from Readex. Created from the Library Company of Philadelphia’s acclaimed Afro-Americana Collection – an accumulation that began with Benjamin Franklin and steadily increased throughout its entire history – this online resource provides researchers with access to more than 12,000 printed works. These books, pamphlets and broadsides, including many lesser-known imprints, hold an important record of African American history, literature and culture.

BONUS+ – Christmas Closure Period

BONUS+ member libraries are closed from 22 Dec (Newcastle from Dec 20; Melbourne from Dec 21; Ballarat, Griffith, and Wollongong afternoon 24 Dec), and re-open 2 or 3 Jan (ECU on 7 Jan). During the closure period BONUS+ requests will not be processed and will be acted on when the libraries re-open.
