Research, Collaboration and Storytelling

What do archives, Endnote, Dreaming stories, emails, committee meetings, proposals, private conversations, social media, clap sticks and storytelling have in common? Not a lot usually, but they all played a crucial part in creating a story commissioned for the 25th Anniversary of the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

Liaison Librarian and Storyteller, Julie Mundy-Taylor, reflects on the research and key collaborations that formed the development of the story. Her brief was not only to chart the history of the School of Nursing and Midwifery but to present it in an entertaining way in under ten minutes.

Julie drew on her skills as an accredited storyteller, her research skills and a number of cross-disciplinary collaborations to develop the story. She charts the process in detail in her blog post Tell me a story about collaboration
