Want to try out new technology?
We’ve got Arduino kits, Raspberry Pi’s Sphero’s, 3D printers, a 3D scanner, LEGO Mindstorm and Boost, green screen, GoPro and audio recording equipment. Plus loads of software for creating, editing and learning.
Need to take a break from study?
No problem! Visit the MakerSpace and play with our LEGO, colour in, start a jigsaw puzzle or play some of our boardgames. You can chat with MakerSpace staff too, you might even come up with an idea or project to make!
Use the MakerSpace to create your next uni or TAFE assessment.
Need to make finger puppets, create a poster, 3D print a game or object . . . the opportunities to add that extra special ‘something’ to your assessments are endless in the MakerSpace. And if you aren’t sure where to start, talk to the friendly staff, they will help you get started.
You don’t need to be an expert in the MakerSpace.
We are all about making mistakes, getting messy and finding solutions, so don’t worry if you have never created a 3D object or used a sewing machine, we are ready to help.
MakerSpace has the space and tools you need.
Need space to spread out your poster or plot your group project? Or do you need scissors, pens, glue guns and rulers to create your assessment? You’ll find it all in the MakerSpace (with bonus encouragement from the team!).
And a bonus reason!
The MakerSpace runs classes and drop-in sessions every week, check out what’s coming up on the MakerSpace calendar.
The Library MakerSpace (IRC-107) is inside Ourimbah Library and is open Monday to Friday, 10 am to 5 pm. You can contact the MakerSpace via firstname.lastname@example.org.
